A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Sift flour into a baking bowl, add salt, press a bulge, sprinkle in the yeast, mix with a little bit of flour, add lukewarm milk and whipped cream. Add the slightly melted butter with the sugar and two eggs to the baking bowl form and knead with the dough hook to a yeast dough.

Let rise for at least 30 minutes with the lid closed in a warm place. Then knead the soaked raisins, currants and almond slivers into the dough. Divide the dough into two rolls about 50 cm long, cover them and let them rise for another 30 minutes without drafts. Then twist both strands and place them as a wreath on a baking sheet. Cover with egg yolk beaten in milk, let rest for 15 minutes and bake on the middle shelf at 200 °C for 30-40 minutes.
