Note: The Hörnli do not go here into the water, the water comes over the Hörnli, as with a risotto! In a cast iron pan, sauté the finely chopped onions in butter without letting them take color.

Add the Hörnli, stir well, add a little water and keep stirring. Once all the water is absorbed, keep adding a little bit of water until the Hörnli are cooked.

Cook the croissants in a similar way to a risotto. You can also add a little milk. In any case, the Hörnli should still have bite.

Then add the grated pepper, cheese, salt and cream. Heat well, but without making the cream too.

Decorate as you like, for example with finely chopped chives and cherry tomatoes.
