For the Linzer wafers, mix margarine, powdered sugar, lemon, vanilla sugar and cinnamon until fluffy and gradually stir in egg yolks.

Mix flour, nuts, cocoa powder, baking powder and stir into the yolk mixture.

Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites. Spread 2/3 of the dough on a greased baking sheet and spread with currant jam. Add 3-4 tablespoons of milk to the rest of the dough and pipe lattices.

Bake the Linzer slices at 180 °C for approx. 30 minutes.
