Instructions:

Bring water to a boil. Sprinkle in polenta and simmer over low heat for ten to fifteen minutes, stirring throughout. Add butter, press in garlic and season with fresh finely chopped parsley, salt and pepper. Form into a greased loaf pan (of one l capacity with a dry quantity of 200g polenta), smooth and cool.

Peel the onions, cut them into quarters and open them. Turn out polenta and cut into uniform coarse cubes (four cubes per skewer, 2 skewers per person). Wrap each cube with a slice of bacon. Alternate 1 piece of red onion, 1 polenta cube and 1 white onion piece on the skewers.

Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the skewers in it over medium heat for four to five minutes on each side until golden brown. Fry the remaining onion pieces. Drain the onion pieces and skewers briefly on kitchen roll.

In the meantime, stir the remaining 0el with vinegar and the roast stock.

Arrange the washed lettuce on serving plates, add the kebabs and the onion pieces. Pour over the roast stock.

Our tip: Use a deliciously spicy bacon for a delicious touch!
