Rinse strawberries thoroughly, drain well. Dust the sponge cake base with the powder whipped cream stiff (prevents the base from softening). Put milk and whipping cream in a saucepan. Mix pudding powder and sugar well and stir into 2-4 tablespoons of milk in a dessert bowl.

Clean strawberries, cut in half and cover the bottom with the fruit halves (cut side down). Set aside a few small fruits as desired for garnish.

Bring the milk-cream mixture to a boil, remove the saucepan from the stove and stir in the mixed custard powder. Place the saucepan back on the stove and stir the pudding until it bubbles.

Spread the pudding evenly over the strawberries, starting from the center. Cool the cake a little and sprinkle with chocolate shavings. Top with entire fruit, if desired.

Serve warm or cooled.
