Prepare the shortcrust pastry according to the basic recipe and roll it out (or use 2 pkg. ready-made shortcrust pastry if you want it to go especially quickly).

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Grease a tart pan and spread half of the dough in it. Cut away the overhanging edge or shape it nicely. Prick the bottom a few times with a fork.

Then spread the jam thickly on the bottom.

Cut out hearts from the second half of the dough.

Place a large heart cutter (or some other kind of template) in the center of the bottom. Spread the heart cookies all around the tart, leaving the heart in the center free at the end.

Bake the tart in the oven for about 15-20 minutes.
