For the apple crumble cake, separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites until stiff. Peel apples and cut or grate finely. Beat yolks, powdered sugar, margarine, vanilla sugar and rum until foamy.

Sift flour with baking powder and fold into the mixture with the milk. Finally, fold in the beaten egg whites. Spread the dough on a baking tray lined with baking paper (37 x 25) and spread the grated apples on top.

For the crumble, mix all ingredients and rub between the palms of your hands until crumbly. Bake the cake at 180 degrees until golden brown.
