For the crispy rolls, mix flour, yeast, sugar, bread spice and salt in a large bowl. Mix in the warm milk together with half of the warm water with the dough hooks.

Gradually add warm water to make a soft dough. Work with the dough hooks for at least 10 minutes. Cover the bowl with a cloth and let rise for 30 minutes on the proofing setting.

Then knead the dough well again. Preheat the oven on the bread setting. Form small rolls with floured hands and place them on a baking tray covered with baking foil.

Depending on the size of the dough pieces, bake for about 30 minutes until a nice brown crust is formed.
