For the mulberry – currant jam, wash the fruit, sort and mix with the lemon juice, rum and preserving sugar. Allow to infuse for about 6 hours. Then strain the fruit and bring to the boil. Let the mixture boil for at least 3 minutes. Do not forget to stir. While still hot, fill into jars, seal the mulberry – currant jam and store away from light.
