For the puff pastry braid, first preheat the oven to 200°C. Cover a baking tray with baking paper.

Roll out the puff pastry and place it with the wide side down (portrait format). Make cuts about 1 1/2-2 cm apart on the long sides, leaving a strip in the middle (the cuts and the center strip should each be about the same width).

Place jam in the center.

Fold in the strips created by cutting in, alternating right and left, overlapping toward the center. This is how the braid will look “braided”.

Brush the dough with water. Place the plait on the baking sheet and bake until crisp (depending on package directions, about 15 minutes).

Sprinkle the Plunder plait with powdered sugar before serving.
