Instructions:

Break or possibly cut the broccoli into small roses. Peel the stems with a pendulum peeler and cut into narrow slices with a sharp kitchen knife.

Cut the ginger root into strips and the garlic into slices.

Cut 2 long peeled strips of orange into tender strips. Place the strips in a large enough bowl of cold water and set aside.

Squeeze the juice from the orange and stir through with the cornflour, light soy sauce, sugar and 4 tbsp water.

Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan.

Add the sliced broccoli stems and sauté for 2 minutes.

Add the ginger slices, garlic, and broccoli florets and sauté for another 3 min.

Stir in the orange sauce mixture into the wok and cook, stirring throughout, until thickened and coating the broccoli.

Drain the orange zest strips set aside and stir into the broccoli just before serving.

Cook a mixture of cauliflower and broccoli.
