Empanadas – Filled Dumplings –

Instructions:

1 tsp. chili spice, to twofold mass 1 tsp. tsp. marjoram, freshly chopped, to – twofold twofold mass.

Make a short pastry with flour, butter, sour whipped cream, egg and salt and refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove the skin from the onion, dice finely and sauté in hot oil. Add minced meat and brown well. Cut tomatoes crosswise, blanch with hot water, peel and chop. Also chop olives and hard-boiled eggs. Add to minced form and bring briefly to a boil. As a last step, add raisins, spices and kitchen herbs and season. Divide dough into four pieces and roll out each into a circle of about 15 cm ø.

Meat mixture on one half of the circle form, moisten edges of the dough with water, fold into a half-moon and press firmly until smooth.

Prick the surface a few times with a fork. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees in about half an hour.
