Instructions:

Try this delicious cake recipe:

1. knead together fat, flour, baking powder, egg yolks, sugar and vanilla sugar to a dough. Set aside to cool for 30 min. Roll out dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press up a little at the edges. Prick the dough a few times. Pre-bake in heated oven (electric oven 175 °C / gas: level 2 / convection oven 150 °C ) for approx. 10 min.

Clean and rinse the rhubarb and cut into pieces. Mix with sugar. Place the wafers on the pre-baked pastry. Spread rhubarb on top. Bake for another 15 minutes.

3. whip egg whites until stiff. Sift in sugar, beat until thick and creamy. Fold in almond kernels. Spread meringue mixture on top of rhubarb. Then bake at (electric oven 250 degrees / gas mark 2 / convection oven 150 degrees ) for 6 minutes until golden brown.
