Instructions:

Prepare a smooth dough from the above ingredients. The dough must be kneaded well to obtain a nice crumb. Leave the dough to rise in a warm place for about half an hour, until it has noticeably increased in size. Now form balls weighing about 80 g and press them a little bit flat. Grease the baking tray with bacon rind and dust it with flour. Place the balls on the baking sheet and let them rise for another half hour. Put the baking tray in the heated oven, add a cup of water and bake for about 25 minutes at about 170 degrees.

Variation: Roll out the dough, also put it on a baking tray as before, sprinkle with salt and/or caraway seeds. Baking time remains on the spot.
