Instructions:

Peel the rhubarb stalks, remove woody parts, if necessary remove the peel and cut into small pieces. Fill in layers with the sugar in a large gratin dish. Drizzle with the white wine.

For the crumble, sift the flour into a large enough bowl. Add the sugar and baking powder and mix thoroughly. Then add the butter in small pieces and quickly grate the whole thing between your fingers until crumbly. Spread the crumble thickly over the rhubarb evenly.

Meanwhile, bake the rhubarb in the oven heated to 180 degrees on the lowest shelf for about 40 minutes.

Tip:

A vanilla ice cream or possibly vanilla sauce goes well with the rhubarb gratin.
