Instructions:

For the nut sticks, prepare the short pastry as described in the basic recipe.

Preheat oven to 170 ºC hot air.

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface and cut out long rectangles (Stangerln) with a cookie cutter.

Arrange the cut out cookies on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush with egg yolk-milk mixture and sprinkle the cookies with chopped hazelnuts. Bake for about 12 minutes and let cool.

Stick two cookies at a time together with jam. Dip the tops of the bars in chocolate and let dry.
