A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Mix butter with sugar until thick and creamy. Gradually stir in egg yolks. Sift flour with baking powder, mix with the dough, stir in chopped marzipan and almond oil and salt. Whip the egg whites until stiff, fold into the batter.

Line a cake springform pan with aluminum foil, raising a 3 cm rim, grease with melted butter. Pour the dough into the prepared springform pan, spread the pitted cherries evenly on top and bake in a heated oven at 200 degrees for 40 minutes.

Roast almonds with sugar in melted butter. While cooling, crush the amount with a wooden spoon, then spread evenly on the finished cake. When cooled, remove from the mold, remove aluminum foil.
