For the Berliner Krapfen, make a yeast dough from the ingredients listed, except for the last three. Let the dough rise in a warm place until it has doubled in volume.

Roll out the dough to about 2 cm thick and cut out round pieces with a circular cutter, 6 cm in diameter. Let these pieces rise again.

Heat the coconut oil in a large high saucepan and fry the dough pieces in it until they float. When one side is brown, turn the Berliner Krapfen over and let the 2nd side brown as well.

Remove the baked pieces and drain on paper towels. Pass the raspberry jam through a sieve, then fill it into a piping bag with a long nozzle and fill the doughnuts with it. Then roll the doughnuts in sugar.
