4 potatoes (peeled and coarsely diced) 1 tbsp. tbsp. tbsp. fresh grated ginger approx. 150 150 ml water

Rinse and chop the cabbage. Finely grind cloves, cardamom and cinnamon e.g. electric coffee grinder ), set aside. Heat 3 tbsp. butaris and lightly brown the potato cubes in it, set aside. Heat 1 tbsp. butaris, sauté the ginger in it, add cayenne pepper, turmeric and, after a few seconds, the cabbage and stir well for 3-4 minutes to distribute the spices evenly and so that nothing burns. Add salt, tomatoes, potatoes, sugar and water and cook on low heat for about 30 minutes. Before serving, sprinkle the ground spices and stir gently.

Baking time 45-50 min.

Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all of a good dish!
