Instructions:

For the beet with apple, brush the beet well under running water. Also wash, core and cut the apples into eighths. Cut each beet once lengthwise (do not remove the skin).

Drizzle a baking dish with olive oil and sprinkle with a little salt. Place the beet halves, cut side down, in the baking dish and arrange the apples all around.

Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper and cumin. Cook at 200 degrees top/bottom heat for about 40 minutes.
