Rinse potatoes and cook in boiling water for about 15 minutes.

In the meantime, clean, rinse and cut leek into rings. Cut selkkaree into pieces. Drain potatoes, cool, remove peel and cut into wedges. Put potatoes, leek and smoked cabbage in a greased baking dish.

Peel and finely dice the onion. For the béchamel sauce, melt the fat.

Sauté the onion in it, dust with flour and sweat. Deglaze with milk and whipping cream while stirring and let it bubble up. Fold in mustard.

Season the sauce with salt and freshly ground pepper.

Coarsely grate cheese. Pour the sauce over the casserole, sprinkle with cheese and bake in the heated oven (electric stove: 200 °C /gas stove: level 3) for about 20 minutes.
