Instructions:

For the almond flakes, first mix sugar, egg whites, flour, vanilla sugar, almond flakes and melted butter until smooth. Let the dough rest for half an hour.

In the meantime, preheat the oven to 165 °C and butter a baking tray and dust with flour.

Now form thin circles of the almond mixture on the tray and bake for 10 minutes until light brown.

Then immediately place the almonds over a wooden spoon handle and let them cool down (so that they keep their curved shape).
