Put the cut cabbage in a baking dish with the caraway seeds and the vinegar and let it soak for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, in a large frying pan, sauté the finely chopped onion in a little butter until translucent. Before the onion takes color, add half of the cabbage. Gradually add the rest of the cabbage and pour a little vinegar from the marinade. Season with salt, pepper and bouillon cube. The last cabbage should still have a little bit of bite before you add the diced Braunschweiger. Make the dumplings according to the instructions on the package, drain and mix with the cabbage.

Arrange cabbage patties in deep plates and garnish with fresh, coarsely chopped parsley.
