For the apple cinnamon cubes with apple chips, quickly knead the dough and flour with the remaining ingredients and refrigerate for about 1 hour. For the filling, cut the apples into slices. Then melt the butter and mix it with the rest of the ingredients into the apples.Put them in a pan and let them steam in the preheated oven, covered at 190°C, for 10 minutes until soft. Set the filling aside.

Roll out two thirds of the dough to about 5mm thick, place on a tray with baking paper, prick with a fork and bake in the oven at 190°C for 8 minutes until lightly browned (the dough should be light yellow) and allow to cool briefly.

Spread the apple mixture to the thickness of a finger. Form the remaining third of the dough into thin rolls and place them in a lattice shape over the apple filling. Brush with the egg and sprinkle with the apple chips. Bake in the oven at 190°C for another 10 minutes. Let cool and cut the apple cinnamon cubes with apple chips into small cubes.
