Instructions:

For the apple crumble cake, marinate the apple pieces with the juice of one lemon and set aside.

For the batter, cream the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl until fluffy, then beat each egg separately and add it. Make sure to beat 30 seconds at a time until the next egg is added to the mixture. Mix the flour with the baking powder and sift into the mixture. From now on, continue to whisk the mixture only until the flour is completely stirred in. Then add the marinated apples to the mixture and mix best with a pastry card.

Now pour the whole mass onto a baking tray lined with baking paper with a high edge and spread evenly. Then spread the applesauce on the dough/apple mixture.

For the butter crumble, mix all the ingredients except the flour together with the dough hooks. Then mix the sifted flour with the dough hooks until nice crumbles are made. Now spread the crumble evenly over the mass and bake for about 60 minutes at 200 degrees.

As soon as the apple crumble cake has cooled down to some extent, remove it from the baking paper relatively quickly, otherwise it will soften too much and will not be easy to get off the dough.
