Instructions:

(approx. 45 min) Cover a springform pan with parchment paper. Cut out the core of the apples, peel them and cut them into quarters or sixes. Cut the back with a fork and sprinkle with the juice of one lemon.

Mix room temperature butter with sugar and eggs. Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthwise, squeeze out the pulp, add to the dough form and mix in. Sift in flour with baking powder, mix well with a wooden spoon and beat until hearty.

Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan with a spatula, place the apple pieces on top and bake in a heated oven at 190 °C for about half an hour.

After 20 minutes, sprinkle brown sugar mixed with cinnamon and caramelize the rest of the baking time. Remove the cake from the mold onto a glass plate, sprinkle with powdered sugar and cut into cake pieces.
