Try this delicious cake recipe:

Cut out rolled puff pastry into circles, each 12 cm ø (200 g of dough should offer for 4 circles). Sprinkle dough with cane sugar. Turn dough circles to the other side.

Mix marzipan with egg yolk well and spread evenly in the center of the circles.

Remove peel from apples, core and cut into fine slices. Place evenly on top of the circles.

Heat half of the butter until it is liquid. Brush apple slices with the lukewarm liquid butter. set everything together to cool for an hour.

Heat granulated sugar in a small saucepan and melt until all together is caramel colored.

Cut off flakes of the remaining butter (one flake per tart) and spread evenly on a baking sheet. Mould the caramel onto the butter flakes. Place the tart, apple side down, on top of the butter-caramel flakes.

Bake in the oven heated to 200 degrees for 12 minutes.

Turn out the tartes. Drizzle with Calvados to taste. Serve hot to the table.

Tips: Vanilla ice cream and/or vanilla sauce go well with it.
