A cake recipe for all foodies:

The dish is designed for two people, the ingredients taste around 2, 80 euros.

For the dough sift the flour on the countertop and form a bulge in the middle. In this form the butter and sugar, knead the ingredients with your hands and repeatedly form an indentation in the dough. Add salt, egg yolk and water and spread with the palms of your hands. Later, form a ball of dough, place it on a plate and, covered with a dishcloth, put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.

For the apple compote, remove the skin from the apples, cut them in half, remove the core and cut them into coarse pieces. In a saucepan, cover with a small amount of water (the apples should not be completely covered) and bring to a boil. Stew the fruit gently for 15 minutes. If you like, you can add a vanilla pod or a little bit of grated lemon peel.

After the cooking time, strain the apples through a sieve, add sugar and cool.

For the apple topping, remove the skin from the remaining apples, cut them in half, remove the core and cut them into very thin slices. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out on the floured surface using a rolling pin. Butter two small tart pans with scalloped edges, pour in the dough and prick the bottom several times with a fork to prevent bubbles from forming during baking.
