Try this delicious cake recipe:

Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Remove the skin from the apples, cut them into quarters, remove the core and mix with the preserving sugar. Drain the apricots in a sieve.

Dice the cold butter and place in a large enough bowl with the flour, ground almonds, brown sugar and cinnamon. Grate between your hands to make crumbles. Grease a rectangular ovenproof gratin dish and sprinkle with a little sugar. Cover the bottom with half of the apples. Put the drained apricots on top, cover with the remaining apples and spread the crumble evenly on top.

Bake the apricot-apple crumble in the oven for 30 minutes, reduce the temperature to 150 °C and finish baking for another 30 minutes, remove and serve while still lukewarm.

Tip: Serve with a little sweetened and lightly whipped cream.
