For the bacon and cheese muffins, preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line or grease a muffin tin with paper cups.

Fry the bacon in a hot pan and sauté a little together with the garlic. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda and place in a large bowl with the rolled oats, salt, pepper and paprika.

In a separate bowl, mix the egg with oil and buttermilk. Mix the bacon cubes and cheese into the egg mixture, then slowly fold in the flour mixture one tablespoon at a time. Pour the batter into ramekins and bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 200 degrees.
