Baked Ham

From the ham, cut the pork rind into small pieces. Score the fat layer crosswise with a kitchen knife and lace each square with a clove, sprinkle lightly with salt and bake in the oven with a little water (about 2 1/2 hours).

To keep the ham juicy, baste with water in between (it must be 2 cm high in the roasting pan).

Now remove from the stove. Dry the brown bread a little bit and crumble it, then sprinkle it on the fat layer, add the ground cloves and the sugar as well and continue cooking the ham in the stove until the crust is firm.

Then carefully cut into slices. (Or first remove the crust carefully, cut the ham into slices and put the crust ÂPÂPcut on top.

Serve with boiled potatoes or mashed potatoes.

Tip: It is best to use your favorite ham – then your dish tastes twice as good!
