Instructions:

For the beef goulash, fry the finely chopped onions in a larger saucepan in plenty of lard over medium heat for about 30 minutes until golden.

Now stir in some paradeis pulp, reduce heat, add paprika powder and stir in lukewarm fat for 1-2 minutes. Pour in warm soup or water and increase the heat again.

Season the beef goulash with salt, pepper, cumin, marjoram, bay leaf, garlic and some hot pepper or chili pepper. Cook vigorously, uncovered, for about 30 minutes. Then reduce the heat a little.

Now salt the goulash meat and add it without browning and let it simmer very slowly on low heat for 3-3.5 hours. Meanwhile, if necessary, pour a little cold water and degrease.

Finally, thicken the beef goulash with a little flour and water (mixed together) as desired.
