For Ukrainian-style beet, first peel the beet and cut into 1 cm thick slices. Chop the horseradish and garlic. Put all the ingredients and the dill sprigs in the jar.

Dissolve the salt in the water. Fill the jar with the brine. Put a weight on the vegetables and close the jar.

Leave the preparation at room temperature for 1 to 2 days and then in a cool place for 15 days. Ukrainian style beet will keep refrigerated for several months.
