Total time: 45 min

Instructions:

Peel the onions and cut them into rings. Boil one liter of salted water and add vinegar, wine, onions and spices. Make the broth at low temperature for about 20 minutes. Add the sausages and let them simmer for about 15 minutes, but do not cook them! They are cooked when they become firm. Then lift the sausages out of the broth, spread them evenly on deep plates and pour a little broth with lots of onions over them.

In addition black bread (in Fischkopfhausen the people say i. D.R. in addition grey bread) and a hearty-dry wine from Franconia.

** Nürnberger Schweinsbratwürste These are actually just normal bratwursts, seasoned with marjoram and occasionally a little smaller in size.

Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all in a good dish!
