Instructions:

Sauté finely diced onion in hot fat, add beans, fill up with water, add bacon and steam in closed saucepan until tender. Add bundled savory and sauté for 10 minutes. When beans and bacon are cooked, remove bacon from pot and cut into slices, thicken bean broth with roux. Arrange the bacon on the beans.

Variation: Steam only the same amount of bacon, but in the last 15 minutes heat 1 or 2 sausages per person on the beans.

Our tip: Use bacon with a fine, smoky note!
