For the cheese balls on cress, mix the cream cheese with the whipped cream and season with salt, pepper and 1 squeeze of lemon juice. Season the cheese mixture and form 22 balls.

Crumble the pumpernickel very finely. Toast the walnuts in a non-stick frying pan until fragrant, remove, let cool and chop very finely. Roll half of the balls in the pumpernickel crumbs, the other half in the chopped walnuts.

On a round or rectangular plate, use mayonnaise to draw a playing field with a center line, center circle and goals. Cut the cress from the bed and sprinkle it over the resulting areas. Spread the cream cheese balls as players on it and serve the plate with the cheese balls on cress.
