Instructions:

For chocolate nut cake, first separate the eggs. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.

Beat soft butter, yolks and powdered sugar until creamy. Melt chocolate and mix in. Mix in the flour, nuts, baking powder and cocoa powder, then carefully fold in the beaten egg whites.

Pour the batter into a greased and floured springform pan (diameter 26 cm) and bake at 180 °C top-bottom heat for approx. 50-60 minutes.

Allow the cake to cool, then remove from the pan.

Cut the chocolate-nut cake crosswise once, spread with jam, place the lid on top and sprinkle with powdered sugar as desired.
