Instructions:

For the chocolate pudding pastry braid, beat egg whites until stiff. Put flour in a bowl and mix with dry yeast, powdered sugar, salt and vanilla sugar. Add oil.

Heat the milk and beat the mixture, including the egg whites, until it forms a yeast dough. Let dough rise until it doubles in size.

For the filling, mix some milk with chocolate powder. Boil the rest of the milk, powdered sugar, cocoa powder and stir in the mixed custard powder and bring to the boil once.

Slightly overcooled, stir in the margarine with a mixer. Divide the dough into 6 parts. Roll out the dough and spread the filling on it and roll it up. Twist 2 dough rolls into each other and place on a baking sheet.

Brush surface with yolk milk and bake at 180 degrees until golden brown (about 45 – 50 minutes). If the surface becomes too dark, cover with aluminum foil.
