Instructions:

Separate the eggs. Beat egg whites until stiff.

Melt chocolate in a water bath, let cool slightly.

Beat sugar, egg yolks, butter and salt until fluffy. Add melted chocolate and grated almonds. Sift in flour and fold in beaten egg whites.

Spread the dough on a square baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake at 180 °C for about 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool.

Cut in two, spread one half with jam, place the other half on top.

Dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
