For the Chunky Cookies, first preheat the oven to 180 °C and line two baking sheets with baking paper. Beat the butter and sugar until fluffy, stir in the condensed milk, stir in the sifted flour with baking powder, baking soda and the whole milk.

Using a tablespoon, separate portions and flatten to about 1 cm thick, not too tight on the baking sheet. Sprinkle each cookie with chocolate chips, chopped caramels and nuts and press a little into the dough.

Bake the cookies for 12 minutes until light brown – definitely no longer! Even if you feel they need another tick. Baking them too long will make them hard and dry. Let Chunky Cookies cool.
