Grease a baking dish (glass or ceramic). Preheat the oven to 200 °C top-bottom heat. Pit the cherries and place them in a bowl.

Separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until firm. Mix yolks, butter, curd, sugar, vanilla sugar and semolina. Fold in cherries and beaten egg whites.

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
