For the creamy tomato soup, first peel and finely dice the onion and garlic cloves. Heat the oil in a saucepan and sauté the onion and garlic. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the wine, salt and dried basil and bring to the boil.

Blend with the sour cream in a blender or with a hand blender. Cut the basil leaves into thin strips. Add to the soup with the green pepper. Season with pepper if necessary. The creamy tomato soup tastes good warm or chilled.
