For the curd strudel, place raisins and rum in a microwave dish and heat for one minute. Pour away any remaining rum and allow the raisins to cool.

In a bowl, mix curd and egg yolks with sugar and custard powder, adding vanilla sugar if you like. Stir in the raisins. Roll out the dough and brush the edge with the egg white.

Spread curd filling and also coat the finished roll and place in a loaf pan lined with baking paper.

Bake at 180 degrees hot air for about 35 minutes. Let cool in the oven. Then do the stick test and let the strudel cool on a cake plate.
