Wash the currant, drain well and pluck from the stems. Place the currant in a wide-mouthed glass and layer alternately with the rock candy. Pour vodka over the top.
Let stand for at least 3 months, shaking well in between. Then pour through a fine-mesh sieve and fill into nice bottles.
