For the beef with shiso garlic soy sauce, first prepare the sauce.

For the shiso garlic soy sauce, 10 shiso leaves, 3 garlic cloves, 4 tablespoons soy sauce Wash shiso leaves and dry well.

In an airtight container, mix shiso leaves, sliced garlic cloves and soy sauce and refrigerate for 1 day.

Cut mushrooms and potatoes into strips. In a bowl, mix sake, garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Add meat to bowl and mix well. Add cornstarch and mix. Heat oil in a skillet, saute onion or potatoes until cooked.

Add meat and mushrooms and continue to saute until meat is cooked through. Add sugar and shiso garlic soy sauce and mix well.

Cook for another 5 minutes. Serve rice in bowls. Spread donburi beef with shiso garlic soy sauce over rice and serve.
