Instructions:

A simple but delicious cake recipe:

*) Recipe for 8 10 cm ø portion cups or for a 24 cm ø cake springform pan.

Knead salt, fat, flour, créme fraÂche and vinegar into a soft dough. Cover and leave to cool for 1 hour. Divide into 3 pieces. Roll out each piece of dough thinly on a floured surface.

Place rectangles on top of each other and wrap on all sides. Wrap the dough in foil and chill again. Then roll out about 3/4 of the dough and use it to line the greased ramekins or possibly the cake springform pan.

Mix egg yolks, sugar, fat, lemon zest, vanilla sugar and almond kernels. Whip the egg whites until stiff and fold into the almond mixture together with the flour and baking powder.

Pour the filling into the cake mold and smooth it down. Roll out the remaining dough, roll out strips and place them on the filling.

Bake the cake on the spot in the lower part of the heated oven at 180 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
