Cut cabbage and bacon into strips, potatoes into slices. Peel and dice the onions.
Heat light butter in a pan and sauté onion cubes in it. Add bacon and brown. Add cabbage and potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Pour in clear soup and cook for one hour in a heated oven at 175 °C with the lid on.
Sprinkle with cheese and bake without lid until cheese is melted.
