A simple but delicious cake recipe:

For the cream: Put warm cow’s milk in bowl to egg yolks and sugar. Place in a bain-marie and stir until cold. Add gelatine just before stiffening. Finally add half whipped cream and egg liqueur.

For the Baumkuchen: Cream butter, egg yolks and sugar. Add vanilla, flour, almond kernels, salt, Grand Amaretto and Marnier. Beat the sugar and egg whites and add to the mixture. Bake the finished dough in layers under the broiler, so that when you cut it open you can see the annual rings.

Fill the cream into the tree cake and spread with kiwi and strawberries.
