Instructions:

Cut dried tops from figs into small pieces, but do not damage the fruit. Cut 3 figs in half lengthwise. Heat water and sugar until sugar has dissolved. Add lemon slices and rosemary, make 5 min until a light syrup is formed. Reduce temperature, add figs and simmer for about 10 min. The figs should not burst open. Then cool for another 10 min, remove rosemary.
