Instructions:

Sauté the peeled and chopped onion in oil in a large saucepan for 10 minutes until translucent (the onion should not turn brown). Add canned tomatoes and saute for 10 minutes until soft but still with intense color and fresh flavor. Optionally, mix in some more paradeis pulp.

Grind the tomato and onion mixture and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cut the fresh tomatoes into small cubes and add them to the soup. Garnish with basil.
